The Skin Code was founded by Jessica Carey, one of the Bay of Plenty’s foremost facialists and skin educators, who brings 20 years of experience and knowledge to each client.
The clinic was envisaged and lovingly built as a destination retreat for those in need of time: time to slow down, time to indulge, time to become the best version of themselves.
“I want my clients to experience bliss, to fill their cup, and to ease into comfort in a safe space,” Jessica says.
Jessica has drawn inspiration from her profound experiences of Morocco, Tunisia and Sri Lanka’s ancient skin health practices to create a tranquil space that feels a world away from everyday life.
The clinic is an oasis dressed in fresh, crisp, white tones amidst a backdrop of lush green fields and winding streams.
Senses are stimulated with essential oils, with sweet birdsong the only accompaniment to your daydreams.
There’s nothing more to do but sink into indulgence.

If you ask Jessica what she hopes to achieve for each client, her answer is simple but profound.
“I want my clients’ skin to be as healthy as it can be,” she says.
“When we close the doors, science meets nature and I work to rebuild and heal skin using a combination of internal and external therapies. Optimal skin health shines through as plump, radiant skin.”
Jessica exclusively uses the Waterlily range – beautiful, artisan, botanically based skin products that are all-natural, hand-picked and hand-mixed, while achieving stunning results for each client.
Jessica’s vast experience and passion allows her to provide both a serene wellness experience, as well as effective treatment of skin conditions such as psoriasis, impaired barrier function, rosacea, and acne, using the Dermaviduals range.
As a fragrance, preservative, emulsifier and silicone-free range, Dermaviduals is medicine for the skin, with each client treated to a hand-mixed and custom blend for their unique skin needs.
